Step by step
- Go to gemini.google.com or install the Gemini app by Google. You can try some features without an account.
- Click Sign in at the top right.
- Already have Gmail or an Android phone? Just sign in with that Google Account. Done.
- No Google Account yet? Choose Create account → For my personal use on the sign-in page.
- Enter your name, date of birth, a new Gmail address (or your own email address) and a strong password. You must be at least 13 (18 for paid plans in the EU).
- Confirm with the code Google sends, accept the terms and go back to gemini.google.com.
🔒 Privacy tips
- Go to Settings → Activity (Gemini Apps Activity) and turn ‘Keep activity’ off, or set it to auto-delete after 3 months.
- Human reviewers may read some chats, so don't share anything confidential.
- Protect your Google Account with two-step verification at myaccount.google.com.
- Never share passwords, ID numbers, medical or bank details.
💶 Free or paid?
Free: Gemini is free with a Google Account. Paid: Google AI Pro costs about €22/month and gives more usage, stronger models and extra storage. There's also a pricier Ultra plan. Check Google One.
